Good Morning My Sick and Twisted Little Monkeys,
Today on http://365tomorrows.com/, staff writer Sam Clough's tale "The End of Some Things" is the featured selection. Mr. Clough's interests are space, "a love of chemistry and a fascination with biology". He also fosters a "healthy distrust of physicists". Don't we all.
Now on to other matters.
Yesterday, on the Rush Limbaugh show, Mr. Limbaugh quoted one of my all time favourite thinkers; Mr. Robert A. Heinlein, a brilliant writer, and social philosopher. Mr. Limbaugh quoted from "To Sail Beyond the Sunset".
To summarize, Mr. Heinlein points out that when a political franchise is bestowed upon every member of society, both the producers and the parasites, the body politic no longer has any over sights. It no longer has the means of self correction. It lacks the checks and balances necessary for the healthy continuation of the society.
The unwashed masses (sheeple) will continue to vote themselves bread and circuses until the society haemorrhages to death.
Now, the question remains, who shall retain the right of political franchise. Our founding fathers, made it clear that it was the landed gentry that should retain that right.
Some might say, "I don't have the means to own property. It is not fair that I should not have the right to vote to decide what another may do with his property. Besides, under the Declaration of Independence, ALL men are created equal."
Well John Q. Public, that's not entirely true now is it. All men are created equal UNDER THE LAW. This is a far cry indeed from all men being created equal in talent, intelligence, and ability. While I am sure that all will agree, that a person born with severe brain deformation, should receive all the rights and respect as warrants a human being, the rights of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, I sincerely doubt that anyone one would wish to grant such an individual political suffrage.
To be fair to the society as a whole, and to avoid bleeding society to death by conferring upon sheeple artificially created wealth granted by the state to whom should the right of franchise be given?
We have established that the landed gentry should have the right to vote as they have a vested interest, a tangibly vested interest in the country and it's economic well being. Who else has a vested interest in the well being of or country, our society, and our way of life.
Our veterans. These are men and women who signed a blank check that says "Pay to the order of: The people of the United States of America." Where that check asks for a dollar amount, it says, "Up to and including MY LIFE".
Who has a greater vested interest in our great country than those who are willing to sacrifice their very lives for the protection of our sovereign nation? Who sacrifices their well being, their families, their very human dignity so that others will never have to? So that others will never know the true horrors that lay just beyond the parapets.
These proud and brave men and woman are the very walls that are preventing the wolves from breaking down our doors. They are truly deserving of full citizenship full communion with the democratic process in our Grand Republic.
Therefore, in conclusion I say, the only people with a vested interest in our country, and by extension in the political process, and in whose hands the helm of state should rest are those who pay PROPERTY tax, and our brave Veterans.

About Me
- Sarge
- I am retired military, and hold degrees in anthropology, and psychology. I have no tolerance for the ignorant; i.e. CNN Sound Bite Junkies aka Sheeple. I have nothing but disdain for those who think the world owes them a living. I despise those who wish to take what I have worked hard to acquire, to give to those who are lazy. If you are a college educated person, and did not pay for college through scholarships, loans which YOU will, or are paying back, military service, or through other means which YOU have taken personal responsibility for, stop right here. You are a leach on the ass of society. If you believe Robin Hood was a hero, this is definitley NOT the place for you.
